Check the map below to see if your property or business is within these priority zones. If you’re located in one of the red-highlighted areas, we encourage you to survey the WCF habitat on your property using the provided protocols and submit your findings through our WCF observation page or to info@blazingstar.ca.

The map above shows priority areas for WCF habitat protection, restoration, and creation in Ontario. These locations have high urban pressure and small to medium patches of confirmed WCF habitat of varying suitability. Check the map below to see if your property or business is within these priority zones. If you’re located in one of the blue-highlighted areas, we encourage you to assess any present WCF habitat on your property using the provided BMPs and submit your assessment to our submissions page. The above map is the current delineation of WCF subpopulations within Ontario. These delineations were completed by assessing WCF presence, habitat suitability and connectivity of habitats. This map is scheduled to be updated after the 2025 WCF calling season and will continue to be updated as new information becomes available.
