John Urquhart M.Sc., EP

John is a senior ecologist with more than a decade of experience offering ecological and land management services to both the private and public sectors. His areas of specialization include land securement strategies and negotiations; ecological land classification; and biological monitoring and surveying.

John works effectively in all terrestrial and wetland ecosystems and he is one of Ontario’s leading experts on reptiles and amphibians. He is a certified butternut health assessor and ecological land classification practitioner.
John is also the Secretary-Treasurer of the board of the Ontario Invasive Plant Council.

In addition to John’s comprehensive work in the ecological research and management sector, he also has extensive experience conducting conservation related outreach for a diversity of audiences including: industry professionals;
conservation professionals; planners; consultants; scientists;  naturalists; and other adults and children from
a variety of backgrounds.
